I think it is quite fitting for us to publish Lauren and Santino’s snowy Vail engagement session during yet another Spring week full of snowstorms. I love a good snow and am quite content curled up on the couch with a blanket, my laptop, and my dogs. I alternate between working and gazing out the window at the beauty outside. The only real disappointment I have with our “wintery” spring is that I fear my tulips and daffodils won’t survive this storm. But they may surprise me!
Random fact: Vail is the second largest ski mountain in North America, second only to Whistler Blackcomb. I’ve always know Vail was vast and epic to ski, but never realized just how mammoth it is compared to other resorts. I’m always excited when I learn something new about the state I love. And, with the crazy snow we’ve gotten, Vail (among others) has extended its season for another week! Who can complain about that?
My complaint this week has to do with the weather too. We rescheduled Lauren and Santino’s engagement session twice last month due to Winter storms in the mountains. Further, I’m working towards my private pilot’s license, and wind/ice/snow are not good flying for the Cessna 172! Two cancelled flights this week alone.
However, I’m thrilled to share these images from our sun-drenched afternoon with Lauren and Santino. Lauren is stunning… and Santino is an Apple fan. In fact, he and I could spend hours chatting about Apple gear and fun small cameras (i.e. Leica, Fuji, etc). Their laid back nature and go-with-the-flow attitude made this shoot as simple as an afternoon walking around Vail with friends (and their fluffy dogs).
