The Autumn colors were in full effect on the CU Campus for Katie and Chase’s engagement session. Autumn afternoons in Boulder have a different feel than the rest of the year. The air feels, somehow, thinner and easy to breathe. The pace of life slows down just a bit. I can’t think of anything better than heading out, on one of those perfect afternoons, for an engagement session. Especially when the engagement session starts out with an ice cold IPA at the West End Tavern in Boulder. Bliss.
Engagement shoots are a sort of a second date between photographers and clients. We find out on the first “date”, in person or via Facetime/Skype, that we’re the right fit for each other. The second date, the engagement shoot, is such a fun way for us to have a drink together, laugh, and get comfortable with cameras in hand. I’ve gotta tell ya, it’s the best job in the world.
