If I could offer any advice to future brides it is to hire a wedding coordinator. Besides being some of the nicest people you will meet during the wedding process, they are actually quite useful! We’ve all planned a surprise birthday party, or a Super Bowl party and probably did a bang up job of it… but if we’re honest, there is a big difference between seating or feeding twenty people and two hundred people. Wedding coordinators/designers are not merely the insurance policy you hope you never have to use, they are more like the conductor of an orchestra. The best argument for hiring a coordinator is that if (and probably when) something goes wrong, you will never know or only know how it’s being fixed. Great wedding coordinators makes for a happy bride… and we like happy brides (they tend to look good in pictures :-)).
Kate and Matt’s wedding planner, Brynn, helped them achieve an elegant, rustic, beer-licious day. She creatively incorporated their love of beer into so many of the details without it being tacky or feeling disjointed. Well done!
I love afternoon barbecues in our backyard. The smell of fresh-cut grass, dogs and kids running around, the fragrance of flaming coals, and the company of good friends makes me thankful in so many ways. The best part of Summer barbecues, however, is the clanking sounds of numerous microbrews being pulled from metal tubs full of ice (we like BYOB at our house – creating a potpourri of some of the best beers in the world).
There are over 130 breweries in Colorado. Further, Colorado is ranked number one in terms of total beer production in the US. I think Kate and Matt’s wedding will help Colorado hold onto the top spot! They have a weakness for the world’s best microbrews and clearly wanted to share that passion with their friends and family. There were buckets of beer on every table, bottles of beer on a hand-crafted place card wooden wall, and plenty native Colorado beer on tap.
We’ve added lot’s of great microbrews to our wish list for our 5 year wedding anniversary party… thank you Kate and Matt for the education!
Thank you to all of the wedding pros that made this an amazing wedding to shoot!
