Many people want to wait until spring to do their engagement portraits, but I’m pretty sure Michelle and Erik can attest to the fun of braving the cold. We spent the day adventuring in Summit County and around Lake Dillon, which is where Erik grew up. These were definitely his old stomping grounds, and I had fun learning about all his favorite spots. Once we let our toes get a little numb, we didn’t even notice the temperatures! And I have to admit, it was fun letting these two keep each other warm. Ha! They are pretty stinking adorable and I can not wait for their wedding this fall. We may even climb some trees! (This is a story I’ll have to save for their wedding) 😉
Jason & Gina’s Take
The stars aligned for this one! There’s definitely something incredible that happens when the light, weather, location, the couple, and an engaging and warm photographer fit perfectly. We love Winter engagement shoots in the mountains! The showy landscape in the Colorado mountains facilitates not only great pictures, but a surreal and unique experience. There’s nothing like the quietness that snow brings… it absorbs the sound and energy of every day life and allows you to relax and snuggle close to the one you love.
