Aspen Wedding Photography at the Hotel Jerome
A beautiful September afternoon for wedding photography in Downtown Aspen
Meredith and Kyle married in the courtyard at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen. Their wedding made for amazing wedding photography. Meredith’s gown was to die for! Everything had a vintage chic flair; from the flowers to the gown to the venue… perfection. Despite the gross weather all week, Saturday was a beautiful day for a wedding! After the ceremony, we sneaked out for some relaxed wedding portrait photography in downtown Aspen. I loved the way Meredith and Kyle were down to business one second and the next absolutely enamored with each other. At their reception, they danced and danced and had a ball together. We were able to photograph some sweet moments between the couple (and during the father-daughter dance) In true fairytale form, they rode away into the night in a horse drawn carriage. So romantic.
Funny, though, they came back after a stroll in the town to have a drink at the bar – and caught us backing up images to the laptop. We all sat there together and enjoyed their same day wedding photography!

We love wedding photography that is this simple, clean, and compelling!

It can be difficult to photograph at a reception when we tear up (during every father-daughter dance)!

Updated: October 16, 2009 – The details from the bride.
Dress
I bought my dress in Philadelphia at a small boutique Danielle’s Bridal – www.phillybride.com. The dress is made by Alvina Valenta and really captured the soft, romantic (and unique) feel I was going for! It was the third dress I tried on. The second it was zipped up, I knew this was the one!
Shoes
I bought my shoes from piperlime.com. They are Caparros style Gorgeous in the color of Opal. They were very comfortable and matched the color of my dress almost exactly.
Florist
Working with Harrington Smith (www.harringtonsmith.com) was incredible. Eileen, the owner, made all of our ideas come to life. I carried a lush romantic clutch bouquet of David Austin garden roses and open white Ecuadoran roses – bound with a wrap of ivory French ribbon and finished with pearl head pin accents.
Bridesmaids carried a simple clutch of stunning Amnesia roses bound with a deep fig tone ribbon – matching their deep fig tone strapless knee length dress by Priscilla of Boston.
Kyle wore a single ivory David Austin rose boutonniere to match my bouquet.Venue
Cocktail hour was held in the historic Antler Bar of the Hotel Jerome. The decor consisted of assorted framed photos of bride and groom’s family wedding photos placed on the mantle of Antler Bar.
The major focal piece was a large arrangement of lush mix in tones of assorted strong purple tones with accents of sage green. Curly willow branches, etc. This arrangement was placed on the famous Big Red table in the center of the Antler Bar room. The placecards radiated from the beautiful floral arrangement.
Reception centerpieces were a combination of tall and low arrangements. The low arrangements were held in a large lomey saucer set into basing of grapevine holds a very lush mix of white hydrangea, sage green hydrangea, white roses, both garden and ecuadoran, white and cream lisianthus and clusters of amnesia roses. Approximate diameter 15″ and very full. The tall arrangements were held in tall glass cylinder with curly willow inside. Saucer with taller curly willow and white dendrobium orchids, white hydrange and cluster of white and amnesia roses provide beautiful focal in ballroom.

Mary Beth,
Thank you so much!
What a beautiful wedding and amazing photography to match! Would you by any chance be able to tell me the designer of the bride’s gown? It’s stunning!
