Denver Hyatt Wedding Photography: Kate + Todd

There were still red, yellow and golden leaves on the trees for Kate and Todd’s mid November wedding. The sub 40 degree temperatures in downtown Denver didn’t disuade Kate from spending a good deal of time outdoors for plenty of portraits. She was beautiful… and Todd’s quite a lucky man.

Gina and I first met Kate Kelly a couple of years ago at Harry’s Bar at the Magnolia Hotel. She had just seen a wedding of ours published and invited us over for drinks. A few single malt scotches later – we were all having a blast (I was the only one having scotch – Kate and Gina were sensibly drinking wine). We totally dug Kate from the very beginning. So when my buddy David Gaston asked me if I was available to second shoot Kate’s wedding with him, I was all for it. It was only the second time I’ve every been a second shooter. It was a very cool experience to have the space, as a second shooter, to really take a stap back watch for sweet moments to happen… and capture them.

BTW – Kate Kelly has recently become the Catering Sales Manager at the new Four Season Hotel Denver. Congrats Kate!
