I love my dogs. I’m full on crazy about them. You just need to see my instagram feed to know! Riley (Beagle) and Chip (loosely referred to as a lab mix) sleep in our room, lay on our couch, ride in our cars, run with us, backpack and camp with us… they’re our companions. They’re both rescues… and as silly as it may sound, I’m grateful that we were fortunate enough to rescue them. Every now and then when they drive me crazy, I think about how simple life would be without furry family members. Then, my sweet Chip sits next to me, snuggles his head into my chest, sighs a breath of contentment, and I remember how sweet they make my life.
If we spend half a meeting with a potential bride and groom gushing about, lamenting over, and sharing photos of our dogs, it’s been a good meeting. Our clients either love their dogs or can’t wait to get one. Hannah and Sean have a stunning golden retriever. He’s happy and he makes them happy. Match made in heaven!
Another match made in heaven… when an Apple enthusiast meets another Apple enthusiast. Sean is an Apple guy. Just. Like. Me. If we meet clients, in person or via Skype/Facetime, and the subject of Apple comes up… I literally have to watch for Gina to kick me at some point in order to change the subject. Otherwise, half of the meeting will have been consumed talking about Steve Jobs, the next version of the iPad, or my newly created (mega-desk) – with multiple Macs making my work life a dream. Side note: we’re planning to take an iPad, iPad mini, 2 iPhones, and a Macbook Air with us during our upcoming vacation. Why would we leave our babies at home?
Moving on… Hannah and Sean are another perfect match. Relaxed, easy-going, microbrew-loving, and a blast to walk the streets of Denver with. On a warm Autumn afternoon, we ventured out for a simple and relaxed engagement shoot. The afternoon was deliciously gorgeous, bathed in sunlight, and perfect for some engagement pics!
