Tori and Matt are an adventurous couple and Cancun, Mexico was a perfect fit for their destination wedding. It’s fun, relaxed and still a little off the beaten path for Colorado couples. At our initial consultation they asked if Jason and I would be able to photograph their catamaran trip the day before the wedding. Um… absolutely! As wedding photographers, we get to experience a ton of cool things… but this was something else! 30 guests treated to a beautiful ride, fully-stocked bar, catered lunch, and snorkeling with sea turtles (we didn’t partake in the snorkeling, but enjoyed relaxing in the sun while waiting)! What a great trip.
The weather forecast predicted rain on and off all day. Rain, it did, but that didn’t daunt Tori; she held out for her dream wedding on the beach and she got it! The rain stopped in time to set up (and put everyone at ease) and the day turned into a gorgeous evening. The light was great, the palm trees swayed in the breeze and a great couple were tying the knot. Does it get any better than that?
Funny aside, Tori’s dad was Jason’s childhood Opthamologist. Steve and his wife Kathy were such gracious hosts to everyone (including us). We feel so fortunate to have spent a few days in paradise with such good people. Thank you Steve and Kathy for the amazing experience… and Jason thanks you for the fantastic Cuban!
