The Broadmoor Hotel and Resort, unlike most of it’s counterparts, has a tranquil air about it. Instead of being bombarded with ‘things’ to fill your time, it offers freedom to relax. It was built in a time when people traveled to Colorado purely to enjoy and take in the fresh mountain air. Expansive lounges filled with cozy furniture look out upon a serene lake. It’s a perfect place to curl up with a book all afternoon. This atmosphere was the perfect fit for Mara and Aubrey’s classic wedding. Mara was timeless in her demure lace gown; perfectly elegant without being extravagant. Aubrey looked quite the gentleman-like (and from their engagement post, we all know he acts the part as well) next to his fetching bride.
Aubrey looks classy in a tux. Refined. Spend a day with him, however, and you’ll realize that he’s an adventurer and pure outdoorsman through and through. He spent the morning in the river fly-fishing before their engagement session in the mountains. He spent a few days, with only his dog, bow hunting in the wilderness, the week before his wedding. He loves the finer things of life, great wine, aged scotch, a cheese plate… yet, you’ll easily find him with microbrew near a campfire under the summer stars. He adores Mara and, like Gina said, is one of the kindest gentlemen you’ll ever meet. And, if he ever finds himself face to face with a bear in the wilderness and survives, he’s lucky to have married a surgeon that can patch him up good as new :-).
Thank you to the fantastic team of vendors that made for an amazing afternoon in Colorado Springs.
