An adventurer at heart, John plays hard whether here in Colorado or around the world. Skiing, traveling, hiking, diving… you name it and I’m sure he’s done it! Meet Malorie. She travels, skis, hikes… wait a minute… yep, they’re a perfect match! Whether they’re on top of a mountain, out at sea, or studying at CSU, they’re home because they’re together. John and Malorie are both Colorado kids. Who would have thought that back in high school that this cute girl would be John’s future bride? They love our Denver sports teams and you can find them enjoying a lazy summer day at a Rockies game, a brisk autumn afternoon at a Broncos game, or a chilly evening supporting the Colorado Av’s.
As Colorado natives, it is only fitting that they attend CSU, were engaged in Vail, had their engagement session in Boulder, and are getting married at a beautiful venue in Castle Rock.
Malorie and John had one request for their engagement session… to throw on their CSU jerseys and take a quick picture on the CU campus. Since Gina and I don’t have any particular history or loyalty to CSU or CU, we were totally open to the idea. However, we didn’t realize that CU had a football game on that sunny afternoon in Boulder. To make matters worse, CU got slaughtered. After we spent some time shooting around Pearl Street Mall and in Boulder Canyon, we ventured onto the CU campus about a half an hour after the game was over. Malorie and John dawned their CSU jerseys, Gina stayed with the cars (supposedly to watch the cars, but I think she was just too scared to venture into ‘enemy territory’), and we snuck out for a few pics. Malorie and John had a blast with it!! Thankfully, there were no confrontations, no injuries, and we got the heck out of there!
