Andrew and Jessica had a three-day Aspen wedding weekend starting with a BBQ welcome dinner at the Lynn Britt Cabin on Snowmass Mountain and ending with a private after party at Ryno’s, a local Aspen arcade. From the moment their guests stepped off the shuttles that first afternoon, they were treated to amazing food, gorgeous surroundings, and lots of laid-back fun. Other highlights include a guided fly fishing trip on the Frying Pan River, a photo booth at the rehearsal dinner, and local, crazy-good ribs at the reception. The festivities had a lighthearted feeling that was perfect for Andrew and Jessica’s goofy, sweet personalities. At the end of each night, I felt myself anticipating the fun the next day would bring.
We spent three solid days with Andrew and Jessica’s fantastic collection of family and friends. When we’re intimately involved in a celebration like this, we inevitably feel as though we’re part of the family, not just outside observers. For me, one of the many highlights of this three-day epic wedding was the fly fishing trip (of course!). I was fortunate enough to enjoy a beer or two, while casting some flies, and catching half a dozen trout… all while carrying a bag of gear and shooting the groomsmen as they enjoyed a morning on the Frying Pan. I totally dig hanging out with a group of guys who love to fly fish! Although the crazy amount time we spent that weekend on our feet with cameras in hand was absolutely exhausting, the net result are lifelong friendships… not to mention some incredible images on the perfect weekend of the year for Autumn colors in Aspen.
