Your Flash Website is Invisible on the iPad
Your Flash website will not work on the iPad.
There is much controversy about Flash websites displaying on the iPad. If the iPad does not support Flash, wedding portfolio websites will not be viewable on an iPad.
Apple’s freshly announced iPad is a lot of things to a lot of people, but it appears that it’s not going to be the device that proves the appropriateness of Adobe Flash for enjoying rich media device on a mobile device. Better luck next time, Adobe! – engadget.com
While Flash is present on nearly every Apple desktop and laptop computer, the company decided that Flash would not be used on the iPhone. Apple has argued that the Flash technology is too slow and unduly taxes laptops and netbooks. The company also has concerns over Flash’s vulnerability to viruses and other malware, as well as the way Flash-based content can voraciously consume battery life. – nytimes.com
Apple believes Flash is responsible for at least one-third of all the crashes on the Mac OS. At an all-hands meeting with Apple’s employees last week, Jobs reportedly unloaded on Adobe, which owns Flash, calling the company lazy and its software ridiculously buggy. The iPad doesn’t play Flash because soon no one will be using Flash, he allegedly declared. – slate.com
The iPad will change the future of media delivery in the future. Even if the iPad is not a success, the future of media delivery requires successful optimization and speed. With this in mind, I’m converting all of my web content from Flash to other web technologies that are optimized for speed, ease of use, and aesthetic beauty.
What are you doing to plan for the future of media delivery?

Winter Engagement Photography in Manitou Springs, Colorado
Surprise winter weather was a nice touch for an engagement photography session in Manitou Springs, Colorado.
As you may have already seen from our sneak peek, we spent Saturday afternoon in Mantiou Springs shooting Jandee and Shane’s engagement photography session. We have never been to Manitou Springs so we had no idea what it would be like. As we were driving in, everyone (and I mean everyone) was wearing crazy hats, fishnet stockings, masks, feather boas and they were all dancing about… and we seriously thought the town was full of crazies. That is until we found out the town was hosting a throw-down Mardi Gras parade where everyone dressed up and had a good time. Manitou Springs is one of Jandee and Shane’s favorite places and we can see why. The town is quirky, fun-loving, and cute as can be.
We started off the afternoon with a glass of wine (Gina actually had a “wine-arita” – see, totally quirky) and then hit the town for some shots at the outdoor arcade. After Shane beat Jandee at an arcade game, we stopped off at the Rockledge Country Inn, their wedding venue, for a few photographs and a quick change of clothes! To finish up the session, we went to Garden of the Gods with their super-cute (well-behaved) dog, Wiley. Jandee and Shane were so easy to photograph and it made this engagement session a breeze. They were fun, laid-back, and totally loving on each other.
We are so excited to be working with Angie at Sapphire Celebrations for their Labor Day weekend wedding.

Engagement photography always provides an opportunity for us to get to know our clients in a deeper and more personal way. Our clients, on the other hand, experience the simplicity of our photographic style and how relaxed they can be with each other while being photographed.
